We started Social Media Cowboys in 2017 after watching too many Waco businesses hand over their hard-earned money to agencies that made big promises and then disappeared. Contracts got signed, communication stopped, and results never showed up.

We knew there had to be a better way — one built on honesty, clear communication, and real work. So we built it.

Today we help service businesses across Waco, Central Texas, and beyond get found, trusted, and chosen online. No long contracts. No vanishing act. Just consistent marketing that actually supports your business.

Who Are Social Media Cowboys

Before Social Media Cowboys Chris and DJ worked separately in marketing, outsourcing social media and SEO work back and forth to each other. Now, with over 30 years of combined marketing experience, they share a passion for marketing. They also aim to help businesses navigate the digital landscape. They combined their expertise and creativity to create a dynamic, hands-on, honesty-first company. Since its creation, Social Media Cowboys has focused on personal strategies and online-ready content. We aim to connect businesses with their audiences in meaningful ways. Their commitment to excellence has paved the way for small businesses to be seen by those who need them most.

Chris co-founded Social Media Cowboys in 2017 to help local businesses stop getting ignored online. With over 15 years of hands-on experience in social media management, local SEO, and digital strategy, he focuses on building practical strategies that actually fit each client’s business.
